The building was finished around 2009 and became one of the hottest expat luxury condos where it remains one today. The Emporio Place condo prices lie in the mid-tier luxury condo range which makes it very popular among expats looking to rent and real estate investors looking for a quality rental income property as rental units are seldom vacant for more than a week or two.
The Emporio Place is located directly on Sukhumvit soi 24 about 1000 meters from Sukhumvit Road and 200 meters from Rama IV Road. The location allows residents to access Rama IV road to

The Emporio place is well designed. From the structure and layout of the exterior of the building, to the interiors, The Emporio Place is modern throughout. The variety of units is impressive, especially with the duplexes. The loft style duplexes at The Emporio place are very impressive from the 1 bedroom bachelor pad style loft duplexes to the larger 2 bedroom duplexes that have super high ceilings and a very debonair feel. The standard units are also very well laid out, the 3 bedrooms especially as they have a large open living space, a balcony in the living room, and a maid’s quarters. The location is fantastic as there is literally “everything” within walking distance, Emquartier, Emporium shopping malls, Tesco Lotus and Big C hyper marts, K Village boutique shopping center and a huge amount of restaurants as well as supermarkets, stores and boutiques and much more.
While The Emporio Place certainly feels like a luxury residence when you first enter the premises, once you gain the feel of the premises you will certainly find some things that bother you. First of all, the facilities at The Emporio place seem like an afterthought. Even though the swimming pool is large, it is located on the ground floor surrounded by 3 towers and next to the lobby, it is rarely used as it doesn’t feel private, inviting and/or relaxing as a rooftop pool area would. While some may not be bothered by it, walking in and out of the condo is somewhat annoying as there is really no grand entrance. The lift lobbies can be accessed on foot only through the parking lot or through the True Coffee shop with a keycard and it is rather inconvenient to walk an extra 50-100 meters to get into your condo every time you arrive.
The convenience of the location of The Emporio Place condo can also get ugly the entrance from Sukhumvit soi 24 can get backed up rather easily and often while the soi 24 intersection with Sukhumvit Road is almost always a huge traffic jam. If you drive a lot to get around Bangkok, especially during the rush hours, you will no doubt be bothered often by the drawbacks of the central location.
Renting a Unit at The Emporio Place Condo
The Emporio Place is a great rental property for expats! If you aren’t bothered by what some consider the annoyances of the building, the stylish and spacious units you will find at Emporio Place will be priced a lot better than the smaller, newer buildings. The duplex condos, especially the stylish loft style condos at Emporio are a lot harder to find available than the standard 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units. If you decide Emporio Place is where you want to live, at any given time you should be able to see a few or a handful of units to compare and pick which you like best.
Buying a Resale Unit at The Emporio Place Condo
As with most new Bangkok condos, the first few years after completion the condo market was very busy at The Emporio Place with units seemingly selling daily. The prevelant buying and selling continued until around 2015 when it slowed down and prices started going up. Today through 2017 and beyond it is getting harder and harder to find owners willing to sell at the condo as the units are easily rented and the ROI (Return of Investment) is growing as rental prices increase. If you are looking to purchase a Bangkok condo for investment purposes, The Emporio Place is a good place to start looking for tenanted condos where you can buy a unit that is already generating rental income.
The Emporio Place is a terrific expat condo and the positives by far outweigh the negatives. The building design was ahead of its time as it was one of the first in a new crop of Bankgkok luxury condos in the late 2000s. Now closing in on 2020, as new projects continue to get smaller and smaller and far less visionary, The Emporio Place is showing that it holds its value very well and all of its unit types can be considered a great rental option for expats as well as a great investments for expats and Thais alike.
